She sells fried insects to eat. For many in the past, they have been an important source of protein. Of course, that was before cell phones.
They're still cheap - 10 Bahts is about 25 cents US.
We didn't buy any insects, but we did have green mango salad and vegetable cake for 10 Bahts each.
